The Imbaseni Trust exists to:
- Help young Tanzanian men and women to
gain the necessary skills to become employed or to be self-employed
- Support
the work of the Scripture Union Centres at Imbaseni and
Iyela
- Help to provide training opportunities
and capacity building for local staff
- Help make the Centres become fully
self-sufficient

Daniel is a young man from the region who
trained at Imbaseni and is now a self-employed builder. There are many
others like Daniel who have gained the ability to earn a living through
the Imbaseni Vocational Training Centre
To fulfil the aims above, the Trust
- Communicates regularly with local
personnel by phone and e-mail
- Arranges exchange visits
- Finds out what local requirements are
for the ongoing work and development of the Centres
- Sources these requirements in the UK
and sends them out, usually in containers, to Tanzania
- Publicises the work of the Centres to
develop awareness and raise funds
